Sleep debt does not flatten personality. It usually exaggerates the weak points in how you process people and stimulation.
When sleep is thin, Reserved people often withdraw earlier, process more slowly in live settings, and take longer to find the language they want. That can look like distance when it is often protection.
If the system is already running thin, too much incoming noise starts to feel expensive fast.
Outward people may keep chasing contact, novelty, or movement after the body already needs decompression. They can stay socially alive longer than the body actually wants.
That can make the next night worse because the system never got a true off-ramp.
The better question is not which side is better. It is how each side gets distorted when recovery is poor.
Reserved often needs less incoming noise and more quiet re-entry. Outward often needs a cleaner stop to stimulation before the body can believe the day is over.
